Untouched Mekong delta will start with a visit to the iconic Cu Chi Tunnels, the maze of underground rooms and passages which helped the Viet Cong over power the South Vietnam and American Armies. You will then venture to the waterways of the Mekong Delta. Just a few hours from the hectic Ho Chi Minh City, life in the Mekong Delta moves with the flow of the rivers, and transitioning in time with the seasons. Here you will discover the small villages which perch on the edge of the land, between the rich agricultural land and the winding rivers.

  • Day 1 Ho Chi Minh City Arrival (D)
    • You will be welcomed by your guide at HCMC's Tan Son Nhat International Airport. You will travel to your hotel where you can rest & relax until you are collected for dinner at the Indochina cruising restaurant. You can enjoy dinner and relax by the river before spending your first night in HCMC.

  • Day 2 Ho Chi Minh City (B/L/D)
    • You will be collected from your hotel to begin a half- day tour taking in the main points of interest in HCMC with some time for shopping. This tour unravels the city's turbulent past and also provides a glimpse into the fascinating variety the city has to offer. The first stop is the Reunification Palace which is the most famous building in Ho Chi Minh City. It was here that the Vietnam-America War was completely ended on 30 th April when a tank crashed through the gates. Then, you will drive to War Remnants' Museum, which has an extremely evocative display of photographs to remind people of the futility of the war. Outside, you can walk amongst the rusting jets, tanks and cannons captured from the American military. The tour will stop for lunch at local restaurant adjacent to the Saigon Mosque. The tour will then continue to bustling area of Chinatown and Binh Tay market. You will stay overnight in HCMC.

  • Day 3 Cu Chi Tunnels (B/L/D)
    • You will be picked-up from your hotel and enjoy an excursion to the famous Cu Chi Tunnels which helped the Viet Cong defeat their enemies. The tunnels stretch right across the country, reaching all the way to the Cambodian border in some places. Parts of the winding passageways and rooms are now open to the public, and today, you will have the chance to descend into the claustrophobic tunnels. You will then travel back to HCMC where you will stay the night.

  • Day 4 Mekong Delta (B/L/D)
    • You journey into the heart of the Mekong Delta starts at 08:00 from your hotel in Saigon with a drive to My Tho, the capital of Tien Giang Province. You will visit Vinh Trang Pagoda, one of the most beautiful pagodas of the province which combines many architectural and decorative styles. You will then take a boat trip round 4 beautiful islets: Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix, and Tortoise. These evergreen islands among the Mekong River still remain unknown to many people. You will discover beautiful landscapes along the river and observe the typical Mekong Delta way of life. You will then head to Quoi An Village where you can see the traditional houses all crafted from coconut trees which grow in abundance in the area. You will also see how the local people use all of the different parts of the coconut tree to make beautiful handicrafts. You can then take a rest and enjoy seasonal fruit whilst listening to some traditional music. After, take a traditional horse cart along a village path and stop at Ben Truc Orchard to taste honey with tea or Mekong whisky (they have a funny rule for guests to get in). Next, you will take a row-boat trip in palm creek to visit a coconut candy mill. You can enjoy fantastic lunch at local restaurant before returning to HCMC for another overnight stay in a hotel.

  • Day 5 Ho Chi Minh City Departure (B)
    • You will have the morning to soak up the buzzing energy of Ho Chi Minh City and do any last bits of souvenir shopping before your return flight.
