  • Day 2: Phnom Penh: Tuol Sleng – Kildivng Field – Transfer to Siem Reap (B,L,)
    • On the second day the activities take a darker turn as you get to learn about Cambodia’s brutal recent history. Beginning with the former Khmer Rouge S-21 prison, now known as Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum followed by a 16km drive to the infamous Killing Field of Cheung Ek, which now serves as a museum and memorial site for the victims of Pol Pot’s horrific regime from 1975-1979.
After this sobering experience, you will be transferred to Siem Reap, a drive that will take you roughly 6 hours. The scenic journey will take you across three provinces: Kandal, Kampong Cham and Kampong Thom. En-route you will stop at Skun, known as “Spider Town” due to its local delicacy of deepfried tarantulas, and Kampong Thom, the Kingdom’s central province. The road is actually the Khmer ancient highway, and ancient bridges can be seen along the way.
Upon arrival you will be ped off at your hotel for check-in and an overnight stay in Siem Reap.

  • Day 3: Siem Reap: Roluos Group – Ta Prohm – Angkor Thom (B,,D)
    • After breakfast, you will take a trip back through time and visit one of the early Angkor capitals, the Hariharalaya, commonly known as the Roluos Group. Here you will get to see temples such as Lolei, Preah Ko, and Bakong.
Continue on to Ta Prohm, which has been slowly swallowed by the jungle. Man may have originally conquered the jungle to erect buildings here, but over the course of centuries, nature has reclaimed it, and the temple sports giant trees spreading their tentacle-like roots into its very rocks.
Moving on you will visit many more temples that are part of the sprawling complex, including the mysterious Royal city of Angkor Thom and Bayon with its 54 towers and hundreds of smiling stone faces. Then you will tour the outskirts of the complex, visiting Baphuon, Elephant Terrace, Leper Kings Terrace and the Royal palace.
In the evening you will enjoy an Apsara dance show with your dinner and then spend the night in Siem Reap.
