This 5-day 4WD expedition is designed for travellers who want to go beyond the classic tourist routes and experience the wild beauty of northeast Vietnam by jeep. Travelling through tea valleys, limestone mountains, ethnic villages, hidden caves, colonial war sites, remote border roads, forest trails, waterfalls, and peaceful lakes, this journey offers a perfect combination of soft adventure, culture, history, and spectacular scenery. The route follows a mix of mountain roads, rural tracks, semi-off-road sections, and rarely used border patrol routes. Along the way, we will meet Tay and Nung communities, visit traditional craft villages, explore caves and wartime tunnels, travel close to the Vietnam-China border, and finish the adventure in the peaceful setting of Ba Be National Park. This is not a hard-core off-road challenge, but a scenic and adventurous 4WD journey for travellers who love remote landscapes, authentic local encounters, and the feeling of discovering places that few visitors reach.
