You could save smaller portions of food to avoid wastafe. Safe driver. Comfortable ride. Eddy was excellent! We were looking for more adventure activities but Our stay the Nung family will be memorable. The local hospitality was warm and welcoming.

  • Are there international airports in Vietnam?
    • The three most popular major international airports are Noi Bai in Hanoi (north), Da Nang in Da Nang (center) and Tan Son Nhat in Ho Chi Minh City (south).

  • What is the most popular food in Vietnam?
    • No doubt, that Pho is the most popular food in Vietnam, from de NOrth to the South of the S-Shaped country.. It is served both at restaurants and in families, eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner. You can try this fanous rice noodle soup in one of the street corners where every local gather . Note that there is a vegetarian version of pho, replacing meat with mushrooms.
  • Are gluten free meals available in major cities Vietnam?
    • Gluten-free travellers will not have a hard time in Vietnam, because major dishes in Vietnam involve rice instead of wheat. By the way, concept of gluten allergy and gluten free meal are not popular in Vietnam at all. You may find these niche products in the expats quarters of Hanoi and/or HCM-city.
      At restaurant ask if your meal is wheat (Bot My, with the word "banh" (including baguette, baked goods, ..), "my" (including egg noogle, instant noodle), or "tam bot" (Vietnamese term for fried fish or meat with a flour coating).
       
  • Where to buy a sim card in Vietnam?
    • From the moment you land in Vietnam, it is very easy tu buy a sim card. From in and around the airport to booths, from stores to stalls, you can find a Viettel, Vinaphone or Mobiophone Sim Cards. Check for their logo to know where to buy.
  • Will I face any language problem while traveling in Vietnam?
    • Most young people in Vietnam and many of those working in the tourism industry speak sufficient English to communicate at a basic level. But if you are at small restaurants, in local markets or anywhere of the tourist trail. it is recommended to learn few basic Vietnamese words, such as hello, thank you, goodbye and how much is it, as it may be hard to find hard to find English spoken people there.
  • Is tipping recommended in Vietnam?
    • In Vietnam, tipping is not compulsory but is generally expected, especially in the service and tourism industry. If you are pleased with the services provided, then a tip for people’s hard work will be very much appreciated. Usually not expected in restaurants

  • How long does it take to get a Vietnam visa?
    • Two possibilities:
      VISA AT EMBASSY: 5-7 working days depending on the embassy location.
      EVISA (Applying for a visa Vietnam online) : It usually takes 3 working days to receive the evisa to print, but it is advisable to take 5 working days
  • Do you advise hiking boots or running shoes? (Does it have to be water resistant?)
  • Do we need a prescription for personal medication that we carry in Vietnam ?
    • If you're taking prescription medication into Vietnam, carry it in your hand-luggage with a copy of the prescription.
      Please note that some specific medicines can be hard to find in Vietnam and many medications on sale are counterfeit

  • Do we need Malaria medicine and/or any other vaccinations?
    • Malaria risk in Vietnam is present in parts of the country, including rural areas, so as a result anti-malarial tablets may be prescribed depending on where you travel and how long you stay.
      Please note that on the mos touristtic places, malaria is not present.
  • When we hike, will we carry only our Day Packs? Will the luggage be transported to the next destination ?
    • Yes, the luggages will be left on the cars and be transported to the next destination. So we should pack essentials, including light comfortable clothes suitable for outdoor activities, and comfortable walking shoes. Take a small day pack for hiking and trekking.
