  • Day 1: Hanoi – Cho Moi – Ba Be National Park

    • Leave Hanoi in the morning and drive north toward Cho Moi, where the paved road gives way to rolling hill plantations. From here, begin the off-road adventure, following dirt tracks across hills and rural landscapes rarely visited by tourists.

Enjoy lunch en route before reconnecting with the main road and continuing toward Ba Be National Park. Before entering the park, stop for a short walk to a hidden waterfall, where you can swim and relax in the fresh mountain water.

Arrive in Ba Be village around 6:00 PM. Settle into your homestay by the lake and enjoy a peaceful evening surrounded by nature.

      Overnight: Homestay in Ba Be
  • Day 2: Ba Be National Park – Off-Road & Lake Exploration

    • After breakfast, start the day with a boat trip on Ba Be Lake, visiting the park’s main highlights including limestone cliffs, caves, and river channels.

Continue with a guided walk into the tropical forest, observing local flora, wildlife, and the unique karst landscape of the national park.

Afterwards, jump back into the jeep and head deep into the mountains. Drive approximately 20 km off-road through remote highland areas inhabited by Hmong and Dao ethnic minority communities, where rice fields cling to steep slopes and daily life remains unchanged by tourism.

Lunch is served as a picnic in nature before returning to Ba Be village in the afternoon.

      Overnight: Homestay in Ba Be
  • Day 3: Ba Be – Secret Off-Road Route – Hanoi

    • Enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast before setting off on another unique off-road route north of Ba Be. Drive through a restricted forest area, once explored for gold and mineral resources during the French colonial period.

This hidden zone connects several nature reserves and remains little known due to its historical and security background. Visit the remains of an old French-built system dating back to 1902, offering a rare glimpse into early colonial infrastructure deep in the jungle.

Continue south for lunch, then begin the return journey to Hanoi, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening.
