How to use money in Vietnam??
Answer
Our money consists of a lot of zeros, check carefully before you hand out notes since they can be confusing. Bargain when you shop, have a converter app on your phone to see that what you're spending is reasonable. A lot of places like restaurants or cafes don't take credit cards, so exchange your money beforehand or cash out at ATM's. ATM's are very common and easy to find in big cities, however in small towns and villages, not so much, for example around our homestay in Ba Be, there isn't an ATM unless you go to town which is like 3km away, but we do have a card machine. If you need to spend in restaurants, cafes, or shops in Ba Be or in the North of Vietnam in general, or even for gas for your vehicles, have some cash with you always.
