  • Day 1:  Hanoi - Ba Be National Park (-/L/D )
    • After breakfast at the hotel, the group will be transferred to the garage to prepare the vehicles and necessary gear before beginning the off-road journey. Upon arrival, participants will complete the waiver signing and receive important pre-trip information, including insurance details and safety guidelines, before the vehicle handover. The adventure then begins with an exciting drive toward Ba Be, taking you through a captivating mix of winding mountain roads, dirt tracks, and small rural villages tucked away in the northern highlands. The group will make a short walking stop to explore Na Phong Cave, a hidden gem surrounded by dense forest, before continuing the scenic journey through remote backroads and local hamlets. The day concludes with an arrival in Ba Be, where guests can unwind and enjoy the tranquil lakeside atmosphere.

  • Day 2: Ba Be Offroad (B/L/D)
    • The day begins with a scenic one-hour boat ride on Ba Be Lake, gliding past emerald waters and towering limestone cliffs. Afterward, the adventure continues with an off-road drive toward Xuan Lac, taking on a challenging route that includes a rough, under-construction section leading to the remote village of Na Nghe. Lunch will be hosted at the home of Dzao ethnic village, where the group will have the chance to interact with local people and learn about their daily life and traditions. An additional local guide will accompany the group today to assist with navigation and cultural interpretation along the more remote trails. In the afternoon, the convoy continues its off-road journey toward Da Vi, traversing rugged mountain paths and forested tracks before reconnecting with National Highway 279 for the return drive to Ba Be. If time permits, the group may stop for an optional visit to the picturesque Hoang Tri Silver Waterfall before heading back to the lodge for the night.

  • Day 3: Ba Be Offroad - Bao Lac (B/L/D)
    • After breakfast, begin the day’s adventure driving toward Son Lo. From the end of Son Lo, continue for about 3–4 kilometers along a small trail, crossing a shallow stream and passing through a rustic village before reconnecting with the main road. The drive continues to Co Linh Market, where the group will cross another stream and take a narrow trail climbing up toward the village. Around midday, stop for lunch in Pac Nam town at a local restaurant, enjoying a short break before the afternoon’s drive. In the afternoon, the convoy heads to a rugged stone off-road trail leading through Na Khuoi village. The journey winds through stunning mountain landscapes and terraced hillsides before reaching the Lo Lo ethnic village. There will be time for a short walk around the village to experience the local life and admire traditional stilt houses. Have dinner, and enjoy a captivating cultural performance in Khuoi Khon village. where guests will enjoy traditional music, dancing, and stories from the community. Stay overnight at the village.

  • Day 4: Bao Lac Offroad - Cao Bang (B/L/D)
    • After breakfast, prepare picnic lunch boxes for the day’s journey before departing from Bao Lac town. The convoy will begin by crossing a suspension bridge and following a rugged riverside trail that winds along the newly constructed hydropower road toward Khuoi Nieng. The route features a mix of rocky terrain and dirt tracks, offering a truly off-road experience through remote mountain landscapes. The group will drive approximately 15 kilometers on dirt roads, stopping midday for a picnic lunch and a visit to a local star anise essential oil distillery and nearby cinnamon plantations. Here, guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with Hmong and Nung villagers, learning about their traditional craft and agricultural practices. In the afternoon, the adventure continues over the impressive “17-level pass,” a winding mountain road with spectacular views of the valleys below. A short photo stop will be made at the summit before descending toward Cao Bang city. Dinner will be arranged at a local restaurant next to the hotel, where the group will also spend the night.

  • Day 5: Cao Bang - Ban Gioc Waterfall - Lang Son (B/L/D)
    • Depart from Cao Bang city in the morning and head toward Trung Khanh, traveling through picturesque mountain roads surrounded by limestone peaks and terraced fields. Along the way, stop to visit traditional Nung villages renowned for their craft of making hand-rolled incense and paper. Continue the journey to the magnificent Ban Gioc Waterfall, one of Vietnam’s most iconic natural landmarks located on the border with China. Here, enjoy a peaceful one-hour bamboo raft ride to admire the cascading waters and the lush surrounding scenery. Afterward, proceed to a local restaurant for lunch. In the afternoon, visit Nguom Ngao Cave, an impressive limestone cavern filled with spectacular stalactites and stalagmites. The convoy then continues driving toward Quang Uyen, passing through charming sugarcane-growing villages and rural backroads before reaching Lang Son city. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged at the hotel.

  • Day 6: Lang Son Offroad - Halong Bay (B/L)
    • After breakfast at the hotel, begin the day with a visit to Tam Thanh Cave, a beautiful natural grotto famous for its unique rock formations and historical carvings. Leaving Lang Son behind, continue the drive along National Highway 4B, passing Na Chuong village before turning onto a 10-kilometer off-road pine-logging trail that features both uphill and downhill terrain — an exciting section offering panoramic mountain views and a true sense of adventure. Take a short coffee break at the summit to enjoy the fresh mountain air and surrounding scenery before descending back toward Highway 4B on the way to Halong. Stop for lunch at a local roadside restaurant near Na Duong – Loc Binh – Lang Son, where guests can relax and refuel before continuing the journey on the expressway. Arrive in Ha Long by late afternoon. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Halong.

  • Day 7: Halong Bay Overnight Cruise (B/L)
    • After breakfast at the hotel, the group will be picked up and transferred to Tuan Chau Marina for check-in aboard the Hera Classic Boutique Cruise. Enjoy a welcome drink as the vessel begins its journey through the stunning limestone formations of Halong Bay.
      Savor lunch on board while admiring the views before visiting Sung Sot Cave, one of the largest and most impressive caves in the bay. Continue to Titop Island for swimming or a short hike to the panoramic viewpoint. Return to the boat for a sunset party and Vietnamese cooking class, followed by dinner on the sundeck (weather permitting).
      In the evening, relax with drinks, try squid fishing, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere as the cruise anchors overnight in a quiet bay.

  • Day 8: Halong - Hanoi (B/L)
    • Begin your morning with Tai Chi on the sundeck as the sun rises over the karst peaks. After a light breakfast, explore Luon Cave by kayak or bamboo boat. Return to the vessel to relax and enjoy the final views while brunch is served as the cruise heads back to Tuan Chau Marina.
      Disembark around noon and meet your driver for the transfer back to Hanoi, concluding your unforgettable 8-day 4WD adventure through Vietnam’s wild Northeast.
