From March 15, 2022, Vietnam fully reopens its borders to international tourists under the new normal conditions. In order to adapt to the travel demand, Vietnam resumes the issuance of visa and visa exemption policy:
1. The 15-day visa waiver for travelers from 13 countries (Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the U.K. Citizens)
2. The list of 80 countries that can obtain an e-visa to facilitate the application (list of countries available here)

You have prepared your suitcase, planned your trip up to the smallest details, booked your transfer to the airport, and even arranged for someone to take care of your cat while you are gone. But have you thought about your visa?
Most travellers visiting Vietnam require a valid visa to enter the country and are eligible to apply for a Visa Approval Letter, giving them the possibility to obtain their visa stamp upon arrival in one of the three Vietnamese international airports: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang.
All types of information can be found online, so here are the main things to know when applying for a visa letter.
1/ DO YOU NEED A VISA FOR VIETNAM?
Some nationalities need a visa in advance for all visits when some countries enjoy a visa exemption for a certain period of time.

Visa-free for 90 days: Chile
•
Visa-free for 30 days: Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Kyrgyzstan.
•
Visa-free for 21 days: Philippines
•
Visa-free for 15 days: Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Norway, Russia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, and the U.K.
•
Visa-free for 14 days: Brunei, Myanmar
If your country is not listed above, or you want to stay in Vietnam longer than authorized by the visa exemption program, a visa will be required.
2/ HOW TO APPLY?
Several options are available, you can of course contact the Vietnamese Embassy of your country and check the conditions with them directly. However, it is very time-consuming and you will have to either send your passport or go to their office to get it stamped.

3/ WHAT DO YOU NEED TO PROVIDE?
Only basic information is required to obtain a Visa Approval Letter:
• Your complete name as written on your passport
• Date of birth
• Passport number (which must be valid for at least 6 months following your arrival date)
• Date of arrival in the country and location
• 2x ID photos (4x6cm)
In other words, a copy of your passport, your flight ticket and 2 pictures!
4/ WHAT IS THE DELAY?
The normal process to request a Visa Approval Letter takes up to 15 working days.
Urgent requests are possible of course reducing the delay to 3 days, with a supplement.
5/ HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
There are two types of fees when applying for a visa for Vietnam:
1) The Visa Approval Letter fees
2) The Visa stamping fees
Both fees will vary depending on your length of stay and if you want a single entry or multiple entries to the country. To make it as clear as possible, here is a brief recap:

6/ WHAT IS THE PAYMENT PROCEDURE?
If you decide to use our services to assist you in obtaining your Visa Approval Letter, we offer three options to process the payment. The stamping fees need to be paid at the airport to the Immigration Desk directly (US Dollars and Vietnam Dongs accepted).
