7:30am rings the beginning of your greatest
Vietnam adventure
in one of the most remote areas of Northern Vietnam. Your guide will pick you up at your hotel in Ha Giang City to start the drive to Dong Van. On the way you will pass by Quan Ba and its legendary Fairy Bosom Hills, visit a French bunker dated from the colonization and stop in Mau Due for lunch.
You will then reach Meo Vac to start the first trek of the trip, a 10-kilometer hike through Ma Pi Leng pass, a must-see destination in Ha Giang. You will stroll around the valley, cling to the side of the undulating mountains, overlooking the Nho Que river, giving unrivalled views of the valleys and terraced hemp fields, which decorate the mountainsides. Walking this path will give you feelings you have never experienced before. Though it is not advised, if you do not want to trek you will have the possibility to stay with the driver in the car and zigzag down the pass to the end of the trail. You can stop for photos on the way.
Arriving in Dong Van, you will settle for the night in a hotel and have dinner in a local restaurant.
Highlights and activities:
Dong Van, Mai Pi Leng, 8 - 10 km trek

Day 2: Dong Van – Vuong Palace – Yen Minh – Ha Giang City (B/L/D)
If you are lucky to be travelling in Dong Van on a Sunday morning, do not miss out on the weekly market which gathers all the local ethnic minorities in the area and gives you the unique opportunity to walk through the crowd, witness the trade market of buffalos, cows or chickens, or be dazzled by the colourful booths of traditional ethnic clothes.
Back in the car, we will continue our loop to the final frontier and travel through Ma Le, the ‘one-eyed ghost’ area. This road remains a secret, it can take you to the northernmost point of Vietnam, Lung Cu, home of the Lo Lo ethnic minority, or to Vuong palace which is our next destination. It is a unique place, home of the H’mong King, whose architecture is influenced by three cultures: Chinese, French and Hmong. It was also used during the French colonization as a secret storage room for opium.
The tour then continues to Yen Minh, known for its countless terraced fields, posed on the mountainsides. Lunch will be served at your next stop in Quan Ba, before returning to Ha Giang City.
Highlights and activities:
Ma Le, Lung Cu, Vuong Palace, 2 - 4 km trek
Accommodation:
Homestay in Ha Giang
Meals:
Breakfast, lunch, dinner

Along the way you can enjoy the stunning views and friendly locals passing by, before stopping for a picnic lunch in the remote village of Khuoi My.

Fascinating landscape, people and food
Review of:
Ha Giang Loop 3 days 2 nights
We had a fantastic tour with our guide Eddie and driver. We enjoyed lovely short hikes, as well as excellent insights and explanations of the culture. Everything was very relaxed, and everything was taken care of. Personal requests, such as photo, coffee, or shopping stops, were also happily accommodated. We thoroughly enjoyed these days. Helen from the agency was very considerate and helped us tremendously with our tour change due to bad weather!
We highly recommend Mr Li

Great mix of trekking and motorbike
Review of:
Ha Giang Loop 3 Days 2 Nights
My friend and I really enjoyed the Ha Giang Secret Trails tour. They were extremely communicative in advance of the trip and were flexible and accommodating with our agenda. It was a good mix of trekking and road time, with amazing sights all along the way. We ended up customizing the trip so that we could do the first two days on motorbikes with Easy Riders and by car the last day, which I highly recommend if you have some extra budget. (As two 50 YO dudes we thought the bike option was

safe and super fun but can be hard on your arse after a couple days.). Our guide Tu Ahn was exceptional and showed us many “off the beaten track” sights. She is obviously very passionate about her job and her country. Highly recommend!

Customized trekking trip
Review of:
Ha Giang Loop 3 Days 2 Nights
This was a customized trekking tour and I loved it! I told the agency that although I enjoy touring around towns, I preferred high physical activity like mountain climbing, so they prepared a 2D1N trekking tour in the mountains of Ha Giang. This also fit so well with my only time off from work (Saturday and Sunday). They arranged my female tour guide, the homestays in Ha Giang and the mountains and all the meals. I think I ate way too much :).

cided to join me at the very last minute but on Day 1 he decided it was good difficult for him, so the Agency immediately arranged a moto tour for him only on Day2. In this way, we both enjoyed the beautiful landscapes and pure mountain air at our individual capacities.
I am so grateful with this agency for arranging something to my own taste and for helping my Senior friend to keep enjoying the tour without greater physical activity.

Ha Giang Loop 3 Days 2 Nights
I couldn’t recommend this tour enough, Helen who works for the company was amazing. Her infinite patience and help to soothe anxieties faced when traveling with two children was incredible.
The tour was amazing and we felt safe and confident with our drivers. The homestays were excellent and everyone was kind and friendly. I was worried about the night bus but it was great and Helen helped with ensuring everything ran smoothly.

Beautiful and very impressive 3 day tour
Review of:
Ha Giang Loop 3 Days 2 Nights
We, two girls and a 7 year old child from Germany had a wonderful time in the Ha Giang area together with our tour guide Nha and driver Bao. This area is one of the last remote areas in Vietnam for tourists still to discover. The mountainous scenery is impressive and people are very colorful and friendly. Nha and Bao did everything to condense the most important sights (Ha Giang - Dong Van, Meo Vac Valley, Ma Pi Leng Pass, Opium Palace and, Yen Minh, Duong LAM Village) within those 3 day

s including 6 hour travel from and to Hanoi. We stayed at a local H‘mong family to get some insights into their daily live. Three days is definitely the minimum you should stay in that area. However, to experience the region at its best I would recommend a 5 day trekking tour. In order not to loose time I would also recommend to take the nightbus from Hanoi, which is very comfortable.
Nha is a very experienced tour guide, providing you an adventurous travel and showing you the best spots to take the marvelous pictures. Bao is a very reliable driver never reluctant to stop on the way to take pictures.
Thanks for letting us experience one of the most beautiful areas that Vietnam has to offer.

Mr Linh's Adventure
Thank you so much for your kind words! On behalf of our team, Nha and Mr Bao, we would like to thank you for taking the time to leave us a review and sharing your experience in Ha Giang, indeed the most remote area of Northern Vietnam. You will now be able to talk about it as a local, having walked the same paths as the ethnic hill tribes everyday. Thanks again for your perfect attitude along the trip, we hope to see you again someday! Mr Linh's Adventures Team
