There are a number of flight routes between Helsinki and either Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh City that require just one layover along the way. With a flight time of approximately 17 hours – which includes time spent in a layover city – this makes travelling from Finland to Vietnam surprisingly convenient. Multiple airlines operate a one-stop flight service between Finland and Vietnam, with the most popular ones including Qatar Airways and Finnair operating in conjunction with Vietnam Airlines. The most common layover cities are Doha, Bangkok and Singapore.

The new law for e-Visa to Vietnam takes effect from August 15, 2023.
E-visa validity is extended to 90 days from the current 30 days for foreigners (including citizens from Finland) with multiple entries.

Since the Finnish are the world’s greatest coffee drinkers, a first priority for many travellers from Finland is to get a caffeine fix. They couldn’t be in a better place than Vietnam, which just so happens to be one of the globe’s largest coffee exporters. Coffee culture has thus emerged in Vietnamese society, especially in Hanoi.
