Highlights:

  • Go beyond a simple park visit with an overnight stay at Bong Center, deep inside Cuc Phuong National Park.
  • Combine conservation visits with a real jungle route chosen according to trail conditions and season.
  • Drift by sampan through the wetlands of Van Long in search of birds and Delacour's langurs.
  • Add a final touch of history at Hoa Lu, the first capital of the centralized Vietnamese state.

  • Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park (L/D)

    • Your guide meets you in Hanoi in the morning and the road heads south toward Cuc Phuong National Park, Vietnam's oldest national park. Leaving the delta behind, the landscape shifts to limestone foothills, thick forest and quiet country roads.

On arrival, visit the park museum and the Endangered Primate Rescue Center, one of the most meaningful conservation highlights in the area. After lunch, take a short forest walk to the Cave of Prehistoric Man, where traces of very early human life were discovered.

Later, continue to Bong Center, deep inside the park. The atmosphere changes completely here: the light softens, the air cools, and the sounds of the jungle take over. Dinner and overnight in simple bungalow accommodation.
      - A 3-5 km walk
  • Day 2: Jungle Trails of Cuc Phuong - Van Long (B/L/D)

    • After breakfast, set out on the main trekking day of the program. The exact route is selected according to weather, season and the level of the group. In drier and more stable conditions, stronger walkers can tackle the more demanding May Bac / Silver Cloudy Peak route. In wetter conditions or for a more moderate pace, one of the official forest loops - such as the Fossil and Ancient Tree route or the Thousand-Year-Old Tree trail - is the better choice.

Whichever route is used, this is a real forest day: giant trees, dense vegetation, bird calls, damp jungle air and the feeling of moving far from the main road. A simple trail lunch or picnic is taken during the walk.

At the end of the trek, leave the forest and drive to the Van Long area. Check in at your hotel and enjoy a relaxed evening after a full day in the jungle.
      - A 12-15 km trek
  • Day 3: Van Long Wetland Reserve - Hoa Lu - Hanoi (B/L)

    • This morning trade the jungle for still water as you board a local sampan in Van Long Nature Reserve. The wetland is famous for quiet scenery, limestone cliffs mirrored in the water, rich birdlife and the chance to spot Delacour's langurs resting on the rock faces.

After the boat trip, continue to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam. Visit the temple complex and step into the royal history of the Dinh and Early Le dynasties in a landscape once chosen for its natural protection and beauty.

After lunch, return to Hanoi. The trip ends in the late afternoon with memories of forest trails, wetland silence and one of the oldest cultural landscapes in Northern Vietnam.
