We begin with a morning transfer to your Adventure Camp, just 25 minutes outside Luang Prabang. A short boat ride across the Nam Khan River marks the start of our trek through rice paddiesand the mid-level forest. Our first cultural immersion awaits at Ban Houay Fai, a Khmu village where curious children will likely greet you, and your guide will introduce you to local customs.
Our trail continues along ridges, past limestone formations, and over rocky terrain to Ban Tinpha, a Hmong village where we'll enjoy lunch. This village lends its name to our trek. The diverse landscapes of mountains and valleys provide numerous chances to spot local wildlife and plant life–your guide will be happy to share insights. We'll then weave through paddies and countryside, interacting with villagers before reaching Ban Houay Yen on the riverbank.
Here, a boat will take us on a scenic ride down the Nam Khan River, including a stop at the invigorating Tad Sae Waterfall. Enjoy some time to relax and swim before our boat and vehicle transfer back to Luang Prabang. The trek covers approximately 12 km (7.5 miles) and takes 4-5 hours through varying elevations (300-900m) of deciduous forest and farmland.
