  • Day 1: Hanoi - Cuc Phuong National Park (L/D)
    • You will be picked up bright and early at 08:00 from your hotel for the journey to Cuc Phuong National Park. The park is 120km south-west of Hanoi, it takes approximately 2.5 hours to get there. Having opened in 1960, it is the oldest nature reserve in Vietnam. The park is draped in luscious vegetation and makes for a refreshing break from the city.

      Your trip will begin with a visit to the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre, a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates and the protection of their habitats. You will then venture deeper into the park where you will find the cave of an ancient man which was discovered in the park. You will stop for lunch in the stilt house in the centre of the park.

      Taking a short trek into the National Park for sightseeing will allow you to learn more of fauna and flora which thrives within the park. After, you will visit the Park Centre where you can see the “Cave of Early Man” before move to your accomodation, dinner and overnight at national park bungalow.

      + (Optional tour): Night bird watching and animal watching tours in the National Park are organized by rangers and forester.

  • Day 2: Trekking in Cuc Phuong National Park to Khanh village (B/L/D)
    • After breakfast, we will move to a meeting point where we start our real jungle trek through the dense jungle. A national park ranger will be our on-site guide who makes sure that we do not get lost and he will tell us about the flora and fauna of the park.

      Our trekking trail inside Cuc Phuong National Park is almost dirt and muddy due to the humid air under many levels of plants and bushes with lots of descents and ascents on jungle trails. We then make the last climb downhill to a peaceful valley and reach the Khanh village, home to the Muong ethnic minority, on the banks of the Buoi River. Lunch is serviced at local house before get a transfer to your next accommodation in Ninh Binh.

  • Day 3: Mua Cave - Van Long - Hoa Lu - Hanoi (B/L)
    • You can wake up early to hike to Mua Cave about 500 steps to see the sunrise and have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc from here.

      After breakfast, we drive to Van Long Nature Reserve to get on a bamboo rowboat as soon as we arrive for a boat trip rowing along this beautiful wetland of Van Long (Van Long Wetland Nature Reserve is a habitat for the critically endangered Delacour's langur and is the only place where the species can be observed in the wild) , enjoying spectacular scenery surrounded by rice paddies, lotus ponds, and towering limestone mountain peaks.

      Have lunch at local restaurant and take rest before move to Hoa Lu, where the capital as well as the economic, political and cultural center of Đại Cồ Việt, an independent Vietnamese polity founded in 968 A.D. by the local warlord Đinh Bộ Lĩnh (posthumously known as Đinh Tiên Hoàng, or "First Dinh Emperor"), also visit Le king’s temple before heading back to Hanoi.
