Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (-)
- Your adventure in Classic Vietnam Tour with Kids begins when you step off the plane and into the warm, welcoming air of Hanoi. Your driver will meet you at the airport and you will be driven the Old Quarter, the hub of Hanoian culture. En route make sure to look out for the world’s longest mosaic as it snakes along the main road, its tiles glistening in the sun. As you reach the Old Quarter you will be immersed in the excitement of the swarming streets. The afternoon is yours to discover the magic of the city. If you arrive early, please feel free to come and visit our office in the Old Quarter. We will be happy to share some practical information with you.
Day 2: Hanoi City Tour - Bat Trang pottery village (B/L)
- Today, you will visit the top spots in Hanoi to get a true feel for the culture and tradition that underpins this dynamic city. After breakfast in your hotel, you will be collected at 08:00 by your tour guide who will take you to Vietnam’s first national university, The Temple of Literature. The courtyards boast beautifully preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and well-maintained gardens all decorated with ornate sculptures. Strop at Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (viewed from outside), a site with tremendous historical value (Stilts house where Uncle Ho lived and worked) and the famous One Pillar Pagoda. Then explore Tran Quoc Buddhist Pagoda, one of the oldest pagodas in Vietnam, with its unique architecture and religious and historical values.
  
  After lunch, your cultural discovery will continue with Bat Trang; a local handicraft village specialized in pottery. Then your driver will take you back to the Hanoi city-center for a walkaround the beautiful Hoan Kiem Lake. While here, cross the charming little bridge over to the serene Ngoc Son Temple, situated on an island in the lake. The lake is also surrounded by stunning colonial architecture, so there are things to look at in every direction. Finally, you will round the day off with a performance at the much loved puppet theatre. These uplifting and humorous performances tell tales of Vietnamese legends and the ebb and flow of daily life in rural Vietnam. The amusing stories areaccompanied by the finest musicians and vocalists playing traditional Vietnamese music
Day 3: Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight on boat (B/L/D)
- Embarking on a memorable journey, we depart from Hanoi city at 8:00 AM to reach the Ha Long International Cruise Port in Bai Chay town, Ha Long city. Upon arrival, you'll have the opportunity to freshen up at the lounge. The adventure officially begins at 12:00 PM as we board Oriental Sails. After a warm welcome and cabin check-in, lunch is served while cruising through Ha Long Bay. We'll explore the stunning Sung Sot Cave and enjoy panoramic views from the peak of Titop Island. Returning to Oriental Sails, you can relax during Happy Hour at the bar and participate in a cooking demonstration with our Chef. Dinner is served, and evening activities include squid fishing, karaoke, or simply unwinding in your cabin. A comfortable overnight stay on Oriental Sails awaits.
Day 4: Bai Tu Long Bay - Hanoi - Hoi An arrival (B/L)
- Begin a new day at dawn on the Gulf of Tonkin. Enjoy a Tai-chi lesson on the sundeck and take in the morning seascapes with tea or coffee. Return to Oriental Sails for check-out and continue the picturesque route. Lunch is served before disembarkation. The cruise concludes, and you'll be transferred back to Hanoi, with the trip ending at your hotel in the late afternoon.
  
  Once arrival, transfer to Noi Bai airport for the flight to Danang City. Upon arrival at Danang Airport, you will be transported to the booked hotel in Hoi An. Finish check-in and enjoy free time the rest of the night.
Day 5: Hoi An day tour (B/L)
- Now you have days free to discover the many amazing sights that Hoi An has to offer. Uncover the rich and diverse history in the ancient town. Here you can discover the influences of the multicultural tradesmen that once inhabited the town. Discover the splendidly ornate Phuc Kien Assembly Hall bought by rich Chinese traders and dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea in order to protect the sailors. Follow this up with a visit to the faithfully preserved ancient housed of Tan Ky and Phung Hung whose intricate and eclectic architecture beautifully demonstrates the Chinese, Japanese and European influences.
  
  Visit a nearby lantern workshop for a fantastic adventure that will make your kids jump for delight! Asthey embark on an exciting journey to create traditional Vietnamese lanterns, learn the intriguing significance of these vibrant symbols in Vietnamese. Your children will treasure this enjoyable activityand proudly bring a bit of Vietnamese culture home. After finishing your lantern, wander leisurly around the streets of Hoi An's ancient town, which are lined with lanterns of all different hues. As the lanterns illuminate the old buildings and quaint streets, take inthe wonderful ambiance. Probably one of the most enchanting souvenir of your Classic Vietnam Tour with Kids!
Day 6: Hoi An - Tra Que herbal village (B/L)
- Our tour begins at either 8:00 AM or 2:00 PM when our guide meets you in the hotel lobby. From there, we'll hop on bicycles and head to Hoi An's vibrant central market. Here, you'll have the chance to engage with local vendors and gain insights into the ingredients we'll use in our upcoming cooking lesson. Don't forget your camera for this colorful experience.
  
  Continuing our bike ride, we'll reach Tra Que vegetable village, where our cooking class awaits. Upon arrival, enjoy a refreshing welcome drink before taking a leisurely stroll through the lush vegetable gardens. Here, you'll witness local farmers tending to their fields using age-old, traditional methods—no modern machinery in sight.
  Relaxation follows in the form of a soothing foot herbal massage. Afterward, it's time to put on your chef's hat and apron. We'll head to the restaurant, where, under the chef's guidance, you'll learn the time-honored techniques of preparing and cooking Vietnamese cuisine.
  
  Once the lesson is complete, savor the delicious meal you've prepared. Our culinary adventure concludes with a return to your Hoi An hotel, leaving you with a memorable experience of Vietnam's rich culinary traditions.
Day 7: Hoi An free day (EF/B)
- This 7th day on your Classic Vietnam Tour with Kids is a free day to explore Hoi An on your own. There are many activities for you to choose from: Taking a cruise along the Thu Bon River, cycling to the rural areas, relaxing on beaches, or shopping at handicraft shops and tailor shops
Day 8: Hoi An - Da Nang - Flight to Ho Chi Minh City (B)
- Begin your morning with a delightful breakfast at your hotel, savoring the flavors of local Vietnamese cuisine. Say goodbye to Hoi An before heading to Da Nang to catch your flight to Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon). Upon arrival, our you will warmly welcomed by your guide and driver. Transfer to your hotel located in the vibrant city center. Complete the check-in process and take some time to relax, awaiting the exciting adventures that are coming.
Day 9: Discover Tan Phong island (B/L)
- Embark on your journey at 7:30 AM as you depart for Cai Be by car. Upon arrival, a boat ride will take you to a once-renowned wholesale floating market on the Tien River, now a historical site. Witness how local trading habits have evolved in the modern age, with terrestrial transportation and advanced agriculture techniques prevailing.
  
  Explore small villages, discover ancient houses, and immerse yourself in indigenous culture. Visit a family business crafting coconut fudges and crispy rice popcorn, savor fresh fruits, and enjoy Southern Vietnamese folk music, deeply intertwined with Mekong Delta life.
  
  Paddle through charming canals, bask in the tranquility of Tan Phong Island's natural beauty, and learn to prepare Vietnamese specialties during lunchtime. Cycle through orchards, interact with locals, and visit Ba Kiệt's ancient house.
  Conclude your adventure with a boat ride back to Cai Be, where your coach awaits to return you to Ho Chi Minh City, marking the end of your trip.
Day 10: Ho Chi Minh - Half-day city tour (B)
- At 08:00 AM, take the morning trip to visit Independence Palace, also known at the Reunification palace, was built on the sight of the former Norodom palace. The Independence palace is a widely known landmark of Ho Chi Minh City and was designed by the architect Ngo Viet Thu. Continue seeing the beautiful structures from the French Colonial times such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the historic Central Post Office. Followed by the remarkable site of the War Remnants Museum the museum has a vast display of the both two Indochina wars.
  12:00 PM: Transfer back your hotel or meeting point. Finish the trip.
Day 11: Ho Chi Minh City - Free time for you and your kids (B)
- Free day to explore the city in your own way. You can sign up for one of our many exciting tours if you are interested (ask us for Cu Chi Tunnels or Dinner Cruise on Saigon river)
Day 12: Ho Chi Minh City departure (B)
- Very last leisure time in Ho Chi Minh before your flight out of Vietnam. Check-out time is 12:00. You will be transferred to the airport. So ends your Classic Vietnam Tour with Kids!
